425 is too much, I don't recommend anyone to go further than 200. Any number of troops in battle higher than 200 is your own risk. It's strange that battles even on 200 bots are lagging for you, I don't have issues with that and my PC is old enough, it's so old that I can't play Bannerlord, even on minimal settings. PoP, I guess, is much more optimized, but we've used a code for battle optimization too.
About Moldova - we've fixed that issue in the new version.
We've added those caps in the 1.9.1, which will come out soon, but it's so strange that nogais in your game doesn't wear any headwear.
About mercenary contract, you should ask marshal or martial lord, not the faction leader.
And the Polish problem is fixed to - we gave their hussars shields, their knights became stronger and there are more of those knights in their armies now.

Well, the tactical AI is already better than Native AI. Adding more advanced tactical formations would mean disaster for the Muscovy and other eastern factions, who don't use pikemen.
First of all, you can always recruit troops from the military camps.
About your issue... It's a custom troops problem, I think. Mod has it's own village troops and custom troops doesn't update them, so... I'll try to fix it.
This is not included to the main file yet. It's very small patch, so the name is 1.9.02. The 1.9.1 will be much bigger then this one.

This is an excellent idea, but... There would be no turkish recruits left on the map. Maybe, that would be a realistic approach and, maybe, we do have to include them. We'll see, maybe in 1.9.1, just like we added hungarian culture recruits.

The developers of WFaS granted us permission to use their assets, but we try to avoid that as much as possible. On the other hand, we are using their source code alot, which is an open source.

Well, it's so easy to be unintentionally rude in the Internet, so I understand why you interpreted my words like an insult. But believe me, it was only unharmful joke, especially about the suicidal part :)
About the horse. I am not saying about combat, I am saying about the speed of traveling on the global map - you can move faster with horse, thus you can avoid undesirable encounters. In combat phase - you are right, horse doesn't make you invincible at any means.
Sorry, my reply didn't mean to insult you, I found your style of fighting with those looters very interesting. You are really proficient in this.
All I am saying is that players should be more cautious on the global map. Yes, there are a lot of enemies around those mountains and I have some tips for you: 1) it probably would be a great idea to get a horse; 2) you can recruit some villagers or regulars in cities to support you; don't use fast travel when your party is not big enough to handle big enemy bands. But I think you are and experienced Warband player, so I said that your gaming style is rather brave or very provocative - English is not my native language, so I could express myself incorrectly, sorry about that.
