I always thought this was for DC originally (not requesting a DC version just confused), I remember playing Soulstorm back when it came out and being immensely disappointed at how bad the Sisters of Battle looked compared to this mod. Is there any chance at a version that has the Witch Hunters, in whole or in part, replace the vanilla Sisters in the campaign? Do I understand that there are no plans for an alternate UA version? (uncapped built limits for units like repressors, adding units from the main SOB UA list to round out the roster etc)
I decided to start playing this game again after years of leaving it alone, and quickly remembered one of the main reasons I stopped in the first place. There's this one infuriating bug that seems to be recurring in every mod I've ever downloaded, Imperial Ships have a really, really REALLY bad habit of turning away from whatever target they are supposed to be firing at. Star destroyers seem to think that pointing their engines at the enemy is the best way to kill them and refuse to point their bow unless I tell them to start moving to a point between them and the target ship, or off to the side to level them out, then tell them to stop once they have their bow pointed properly. If I tell them to actually target specific ships they Either start broadsiding and using only half their weapons or turn around entirely and get themselves blown up.
Shame this mod seems to be dead, had so much more potential than Sci-Fi at war imo.
I think he means the Hover MRLS which are not transports.
Classic is cool and while I like some parts of Deluxe, there are some broken parts that make me hate it. 1) Even on the lowest AI difficulty it is impossibly hard, 2) Naval maps lack transports for vehicles and the like. 3) Ion Storms are infuriating.
Public Beta, it will increase the number of eyes and variety of gameplay styles. Giving an accelerated and more comprehensive list of bugs to iron out.
Who took down sci-fi at war because of that?
last thing we want to to is to start adding factions willy nilly like sci-fi at war.

Okay so the GC works fine right up until I can see Federation/Halo controled worlds, at which point the framerate plummets to >1 fps and becomes unplayable.
Another problem is that in skirmish the enemy practically never upgrades their station, they only ever just send their weakest units in a never ending stream.
This makes even the hard difficulty enemies mind numbingly easy to kill since all you need are some corvettes to shoot them down endlessly and send some strong units over around their stream and attack their station...
Not sure how many races do this but I know the Borg are guilty of it, when I fight Borg I want to see some Cubes eventually, but after an hour at fast forward on hard difficulty the Borg never upgraded their station. While GC is so laggy as to be unplayable at least there I can fight some variety of units from each faction.
it also constantly stops responding etc, there's a great deal of problems in that mode...
Having problems with the galactic conquest mode, the framerate is incredibly low. My CPU usage and Memory are only at 50% so I don't understand why it's going so slow...
Wait, where's the NCR, EUAF(sp) and Antidae in the Faction list? I take it they are coming in later versions? also I hope the Metal Slug will show up again.

Air power is okay, but not gonna help much if they don't have ground support along with it.
I'm really gonna feel sorry for the Federation, Borg and Stargate factions come 3.0 they don't have anything aside from infantry.
Though at least the Stargate guys have Death Gliders and such, Best the Federation have are Hoppers which are pretty well glorified hueys.

Nah, a single ISD would have no trouble taking that fleet down, that is if the mod threw balance out the window and focused purely on lore stats.
Covenant ships get wasted by 9.98 teraton MAC rounds, which rip through their shields, hulls and out the other side into other ships to do more damage,
An Imperial Star Destroyer is capable of dishing out 800 Teratons per SECOND, spread across it's 120 (give or take) guns.
Also while it takes 20-30 covenant ships about 12 hours give or take to glass a planet like Reach, it takes 3 ISDs (and only then for blockade purposes) 1 hour to Base Delta Zero a planet like say, Dankayo, which is similar to glassing except it blasts the entire atmosphere off to boot.
About the Only Race in popular sci-fi that the Empire WOULDN'T be able to take down are the Daleks.
Enterprise shields got taken down by a 400 gigawatt blast in TNG "The Survivors" A TIE Fighter carries a firepower of 32-64 terawatts, kinda one sided, but not in the way you suggested.
Nukes, be they naquedah enhanced or not (get up to about a gigaton or so) wouldn't do much to Imperial shields, which are designed to resist petaton level firepower.
Remember the shield generators are located INSIDE the ship, (those globes are sensors only, no matter what the other games and flawed "essential" guides say, Lucasfilm, ILM and the DK publishing books have the real stats)

Impervious to low powered L.a.s.e.r. perhaps, but not high powered particle beams that just so happen to be called lasers, which make photon torpedoes look like firecrackers.
