i finally got the game going again . although i have played online i mostly play offline with the bots , and am very grateful to the ones that fixed this game so others can continue playing it again . the battlefield 2142 was about the first game i ever got !!

I HAVE BEEN OFF HERE FOR A WHILE , and haven't got to play bf 2142 since i put in a new hd in the pc . am having trouble getting the offline going again. i installed the original with the factory code words 2142 deluxe version. . i then installed the 1.51 version patch but during the process i get a error saying : incorrect version battlefield 2142 detected : 1.51 this updater was designed only for v.1.00 through v.1.50 . Continue the extension anyway .
do i need a earlier version updater patch first. Then install the other updater?version? i did install the hub everything done as administrator . i even did the patch offline file that gave me the generic profile . but when i try to start the game it starts out black like it might be starting and then just goes off and back to the hub . i also turned off my internet in trying offline. I NOTICED IN THE HUB 2 IT SHOWED THE . RENDDX9,ORI.DLL DOESN'T SHOW AS CHECKED LIKE THE OTHER THINGS. i have uninstalled this and reinstalled it a few times trying to get it to work. also when trying to get it to show full screen it won't do it. it always says because of default settings need to be wide screen so i hit okay. but no matter what custom settings i tried none of them worked for full screen. below is a list again showing error ? results .
can anyone help me AGAIN ON THIS , THANKS. .

WELL I FINALLY GOT TO PLAY ONLINE LAST NIGHT I THINK IT SAID EU? but got my butt shot off lol although i finally did i think toward the end kill two people so that's better then nothing . i am used to playing offline against bots , mostly in the suez canal. does anyone play that game ? off line the botplayers about 5 came up on the overpass bridge i was shooting them from and actually chased me on the bridge as i retreated as i shot and killed some of them , one finally threw a grenade way over where i was and got me ( i still think some of those throws are a lot farther then realistic lol) . anyway was fun playing online , i do see things i need to do to adapt more to play better.

i got the game back going again , apparently i was not using the open spy part in the hub 2 . and it was opening a black screen for a few seconds then closing it .
am going to try maybe tomorrow online game .

THANKS , i did get it working finally the offline , i will try the online sometimes. i see the server area's . any certain tips and directions on getting it to work with the online version . i created a username etc. already and e mail .

Okay i got my game back going again , had to use the offline and singleplayer username . i guess using the other registered name i should have been able to play online with others but maybe i was doing something wrong as the screen would go black like it was going to open up the game but then go back to regular pc screen . will try later to see if i can get onlie with others .

on the battlefield 2142 pc game i did the instructions and created a username attitudeadjuster and a password and my installed battlefield 2142 game once again allowed me play offline just fine last night , but i went back to start it again today and it goes black on the screen like it's going to start the game then goes back to regular screen on my pc . i don't know what happened with it . i tried with internet connection and without , it does the same things . can anyone help with this so i can get it working right ??
