interesting, I've always wanted more mods set in and around White Forest Base
having a bit of an issue installing it. i drop the Deeper Down directory in my sourcemods folder and restart Steam, but nothing shows up. it's actually doing this with any new sourcemods I install as well. things that I installed years ago are still there, but nothing new shows up.
strong disagree, Interloper was the 2nd best chapter of Black Mesa, with the first Xen chapter being the 1st best. so many new additions to the chapters compared to the original HL, yet it stuck to the story of the original, and was a challenging fight to boot!

did the M4 reload bug get fixed? because everytime i reload, its just silent
nevermind, i solved it myself, still weird it classifies the launcher as a trojan.
but yeah, dropping into that elevator after getting the pool cue causes an instant crash,
(and the pool cue still looks like a crowbar...?)

Only the maps once you entered the deeper portions of the facility. The surface levels, and the island itself, had plenty of ways for the AI to outmaneuver the player, especially on the way back up near the finale.
Grenade spam is a thing man, plan RTSLvilletwo, one of the maps has a section where four Overwatch Soldiers will lob a ‘nade every 2-3s if they can’t directly see you.
Then go play a Gmod combat\arena map, I’ve had no fewer than 4 grenades thrown into the same room I was covering in
Also pretty sure ‘suppressive fire’ is actually a thing, it’s been awhile since I was on the SDK wiki reading about how AI nodes worked, but I’m pretty sure one of the hint nodes (or something like that) functioned pretty much like suppressive fire,
Hell, the Alien AI is Black Mesa is super freaking aggressive, hardly have any time to reload before a Grunt will come charging around the corner and shoulder rush me.
I mean, why would it look different? if it's the same place in all of these games, then why wouldn't it look the same?
I never noticed the Combine sprinting backwards....whenever they retreated, (which wasn't often, to be fair) they'd turn around and book it

the issue, in my opinion, was that the AI node graphs on many of the default HL2 maps were pretty bare bones,which severely limited the skill of the AI.
on many sourcemods, (Minerva Metastasis to name one) had a very good node graph on it's map, which gave the AI more options in combat, they'd flank, lay down suppressive fire, spam grenades if you were in a very defensible position, etc
I'm having this issue as well, GPU is the (apparently notorious) GTX 60 Cyclone
same issue here, my GPU is a GTX 650 Cyclone, any damage taken results in missing textures blanketing the whole screen, and the laser sight is just a pink/black checkerboard square
everytime I took damage, the screen would flash with the "missing texture" checkerboard, and I mean ANY damage, headcrab, turret, fire, etc
any fix?
question, I really like the blue glowing eyes your CP's and Combine Soldier's have, is that part of the model's texture's? or is it separate? I ask because I usually use custom HD skins and models for CP's, and the HD Black Camo Combine,
if I were to install those, would it remove that stunning blue glow?

is there anyway I could get the game files without going through the Steam Store? I play my Window's only games through Wine, and the Wine-run version of Steam can't access the Steam store (for some reason)
and Steam won't even let me install the game on the OS X version of Steam
so a direct download of the files would be nice :-/

the problem is that Valve never ported the SDK's to OS X, so In order to port this game over, you need to port the Engine it needs too
