I enjoy strategy, wargames, MilSim, and just about anything else that requires some measure of planning and creativity. Examples include: HOI3+HOI4 (BlackIce), ARMA2+ARMA3 (ACE), DC:Barbarossa, Civ4, Total War (especially Napoleon, Empire, & Shogun 2), Skyrim, Mount & Blade, Space Engineers, Order of Battle: Pacific, and I could go on from here.

Hi Panzeroo,

If you're interested, I'd be happy to help in providing accurate and useful descriptions of units, buildings, and so forth in the HOI4 BlackIce mod. For example the workshops on the research and construction screens and some of the tanks and planes on the research screen. Most especially the research and unit options that BlackIce is introducing, as I believe those the most likely to cause confusion to new players.

If you want to take me up on this, send me a private message with a way to contact you (like an email address, or skype name or whatever).

Ok, I've been deleting the right logs, and when I started doing that I crashed much less often, so it's helpful. I'll see if I can find any other tips on the paradox forums as you suggested. If I can't find anything that works, I'll survive with things the way they are now. I've got a quick macro set up to automatically delete the logs and I'm working on setting it up to backup my savegames as well.

Unrelated, but is the blackicemod.com site going to come back up or is it a dead link?

Either way, thanks much for the help.

Firstly let me thank you Panzeroo and all of your team members for your hard work, I really enjoy the mod.

I was hoping you could help me with a bug I've been getting. I've been getting fairly frequent crashes whenever I save my game. Each time before I run BI (8.51) I delete the BlackIce logs. I store all of my savegames in a different folder, keeping only 1 savegame file in the game folder at any one time. Whenever I save the game, I alt-tab and backup my save to my backup folder, then I overwrite that save. This way when I get a crash, and my file is corrupted, I still have a backup.

Despite doing all of this, I still get savegame crashes. They are less frequent now than before I started doing all of this, so I can still play the game, but I was wondering if you had a solution.

Thanks,
Asgardschosen
