Infantry 1.6 has been released

It is now contained as a self extracting archive, hopefully this will make installation more easier

Install over a fresh copy of RWR 1.70.3
Always backup your game installation

infantry_1.6_core.exe

extract to your RWR root directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RunningWithRifles\

Enjoy the mod, report back any bugs you find, all feedback regarding the mod is welcome.

The texture pack is being redeveloped and will be available shortly.

Hello Everyone !

The latest version of **Infantry** has been released on ModDB and the latest version of the texture addon pack has also been released

The mod has been patched to version 1.65 of Running With Rifles and now contains all the latest work that has been so far released for light infantry and heavy infantry on steam workshop

The overwrite mod has also been made compatible with all versions of infantry and soldiers at war on steam workshop

Remember to install over a fresh copy of Running With Rifles version 1.65
and make sure that the texture addon pack is installed after the core files if you are installing the detailed textures.

Install order is the following:

1. infantry_1.57_core.7zip
2. infantry_textures_1.32d.7zip

Good, the mod has just been updated here on moddb, it will now work with the official invasion servers

The mod is not yet patched with the latest RWR update 1.65

I have tested an install of the mod over a fresh copy of RWR 1.65 and can confirm the following:

Campaign - Working
Quick Match - Working
Official Invasion Servers - Not Working

I will be tackling the update in a couple days and rectifying the problem.

PS: Take note that this version of the mod is the old version 1.5 and does not include the latest updates yet from steam workshop versions of the mod, that will be coming out shortly.

Infantry has just been updated with the latest version of RWR 1.64

It is now compatible with the latest version of Running With Rifles.

Make sure to verify the integrity of your RWR install through steam before you install the latest version of Infantry 1.56e

If you have any issues with the install, hit me up here on moddb or through steam on my steam profile page or the steam workshop page of infantry.

More updates are coming through to moddb in the coming week

Crash log is located in the following directory

C:\Users\ ?? \AppData\Roaming\Running with rifles\rwr_game.txt

Paste the last 5 lines at the end of the log file

I will investigate the compatibilty with the latest update of RWR which just happened recently and is now 1.64

Hello everyone!

Today 11th February 2018 marks the day that i first launched **INFANTRY** on steam workshop as version 1.0

Over the past year the mod has undergone many changes and improvements, grown in size and grown in popularity with its fans, moved house to ModDB, ported back to steam workshop as an overlay mod and awaiting one last major update - version 1.6

The first file of the mod was laid down back in november 2016 and was a custom sound file replacement for the IMI Negev Machinegun, that one file turned into the overhaul mod that you see now today.

It has been a long tough 1 year for **INFANTRY** and myself for the hefty development over a year full-time, it was well worth it in the end.

A massive shout out to the fans of **INFANTRY** the fans of Running With Rifles and the devs who made an amazing game !

and fixed a few bugs with the High Res Texture Pack

Infantry 1.56d (CORE)
High Resolution Texture Package v1.32c

Hi,

I've been asked this question alot and unfortunately at this point in time i haven't looked into implementing that feature just yet.

I will definitely look into it as it would be a nice feature for quickmatch and possibly the campaign.

There is a mod on steam workshop called Increased Armoury which does exactly that, and should run over an Infantry Modded version of RWR.

i will be releasing the updated version of Infantry and a separate Pacific DLC patch in a few days time, been working on it since the release of the DLC and almost finished.

Infantry overwrite mod is not compatible with the new RWR DLC: Pacific

I am looking into this as soon as possible.

I have received word from moddb tech support that it is a server side issue, and they are on the case.

Hello everyone!

I just carried out a bug fix to rectify a fatal error in the size of the main soundtrack file that would overload the program after consecutive loading sessions between maps or between the main menu and the game session.

This would lead to a fatal crash to desktop.

The bug has been fixed by reducing the main soundtrack to one track only instead of three and reducing its overall size considerably.

The new version has been uploaded as Infantry version 1.51b (Core)
The previous version with the fatal bug was version 1.51 (Core)

I don't upload patches as the total core file size is well under 100 megabytes and most of us are no longer on 56kbps modems. Also it is one of the advantages of splitting the modification up into modules.

The new version can be installed directly over the previous version as it was installed originally.
