I'm an IT student, in my last year (at last!!!) My favourite videogames are first person shooters like Battlefield series and good old Quake series. Also strategy games as Starcraft or World in Conflict. I know C++, Java, Python, PHP, basic HTML and CSS.

Single player has a bug because a file is missing. Cooperative still works. To make single player again, just go to your (Battlefield 2142 folder)\mods\rc2142\python\game\gamemodes folder. Inside this folder duplicate the file "gpm_coop.py" and rename the new file to "gpm_sp.py". Single player will work again.

I checked your mod. It's cool and very fun. But isn't the tactical gameplay that I was searching.

The lastest version (0.4.0.9) if available for download. Just check the ModDB download section of the mod or our webpage Realcombat.freehostia.com. There are lots of changes, and it's much more stable tah nprevious versions.

I've got problems with the version 0.3. It was very unstable, so 0.4 its focused in stability, in single, cooperative and multiplayer. Last Sunday we were testing at LAN play, and resolved some important bugs. I think 0.4 (0.45 maybe?) will be downloadable soon.
And no, we want realistic weapons, not balanced weapons. BTW, most weapons are balanced per se. (Accuracy vs firepower, etc). Another method is giving different hardware (MEC having T90 and USMC having pickable predator, for example)

We are having a lot of work at university, so next version it's been delaying more than i wanted. There are some bugs that i want to fix before releasing it.
By the way, these are the current classes and his equipment. This isn't final, so it can be changed anytime.

Recon:

The recon class could be merged with assault, but changes are still being considered. And there will be pickable kits in the maps, like sniper, machinegunner, heavy antitank, antimateriel sniper, etc.
Note that this class system is only for conventional armies. We are making alternatives class for insurgents, but they are being tested.

I expect to finalise this version soon.
