You can also try to put the mod into the mods folder like any other regular mod. My message was aimed at situations, when "Medieval Trilogy" didn't work properly when this classic method was used
Please, check all the unit models in the battle mode. I've noticed, that lots of them look like ghosts, because their textures aren,t set properly.
Especially units of new factions, like Dada Faction
Russian version was the first step of this project. I wanted to know, how it it works. Hence, I'll translate the necessary text files next.
I think, it won't last too much time )
Русскоязычная версия была первой ступенью этого проекта. Я просто хотел узнать, будет ли модификация работать. Следовательно, теперь мне надо будет перевести необходимые текстовые файлы.
Не думаю, что это займёт много времени)
I've found the way... to make it work on your computers. I don't know, what your problems look like. It really works well on my PC. So, I guess, the only way is to give you the working Medieval 2 programme, that can "handle" this mod.
I'll upload the necessary archive to files page. This file is named "M2TW - Medieval Trilogy Base".
It is absolutely unpolluted and bare M2TW. You just need to put it in any folder you like except the original M2TW folder. Then, you need to transfer the 526 AD Part folder to /mods folder inside this bare M2TW and click the BAT file.
It must be useful.
Another variant:
Put the BAT file from the mod folder to the main game folder and correct it.
There is the following text inside:
cd ..\..
start medieval2.exe @mods\526AD\526AD.cfg
You need to change it to this:
medieval2.exe --features.mod=mods/526AD

I've checked, what I had done previously.
In the BAT file it's written:
cd ..\..
start medieval2.exe @mods\526AD\526AD.cfg
So, to start the game you need to have MEDIEVAL2.EXE, not kingdoms.exe in the main game folder. I discovered it, while working on mod (there was no opportunity to change the exe file from medieva2.exe to kingdoms.exe

What is written in log? Or, what is the main error?
So, check the BAT file. It should be like this.
cd ..\..
start medieval2.exe @mods\526AD\526AD.cfg
The mod archive is now in the file folder
In the "Text" folder there're two extra folders: with English and French mod text files. You can just replace files in the main "Text" folder by those from the mentioned folder as you like
The 526 AD Part starts at 526 AD and ends at 1080 AD. So, it covers the whole period of the Dark Ages.
It is comming
I'll upload all its 3 parts in the next few days. But first I just want to make introductions (or explanations) for them
So, please, download. The authorisation has been passed successfully!
Hey, if you really want to play as Gilneas or Alterac etc, you can just add them by yourself. So, I can also send you a modded folder of one of the previous versions of the Warcraft TW. I managed to include into the gane the following factions: Alterac, Gilneas, "New Dalaran" (located in the Karazhan region), Kul'Tiras, Feralas (a mix of the High and the Night Elves) and Taunka-Tuskarria (indigenous inhabitants of the Western Northrend). I also made the Goblins and the Vrykul factions playable before they were officially released.
You can share your social net pages (e.g. Facebook) with me and I'll send you the mentioned archived mod folder.
We can use email too
So, please, check the file folder. I guess, it's been uploaded
I don't know, what's happening. Maybe I'll have to rename it and upload it once again
Certainly, the "Bulat Steel" mod is the best one, because of textures and the whole idea. I really don't understand, why the "Falcom 3 TW" crashes every moment: maybe, it's the map, maybe not. I've checked all the campaign scripts, decided to shift the starting date from 1080 to 1078 to avoid crashes, but nothing has served this matter. And still, it crashes at some regular points: at the 100th turn, at the 50th turn, or even at the 25th turn (for the Apachean tribes).
If you're talking about the mod file, it's still being authorised by the community
The original Falcom 3 TW starts at 1080, so I've kept the starting date. 1440-1700 mod that you're talking about is "Kingdoms and Empires" mod, as I know.
Moreover it has a different map
