Would you please do that? I guess that would be the easiest way to test the video issue. If a version without it works, than maybe my codecs are faulty or something. Sorry to be such a pain in the *** guys, but this time I really wanna play, and it just won't work T_T

Maybe, but what? I tried running it on two different machines with freshly installed OS and completely different hardware. I tried the zip version to rule out file corruption. I checked intro video files and they play normally both in wmp and my palyer of choice, so it's not video codecs either.

Thanks for your replies, but how exactly am I supposed to reinstall wmp in Win 7? It's a built-in component of the OS, there's not even a separate installer for it.
Btw, I tried renaming all three intro video files to see if the game runs without them, and it changed nothing. The same generic 'application stopped working' crash immediately after starting the exe. No windows opening, nothing. I also tried to launch the game on my laptop with Win 7 x86, with the same results.

Dl'd the last version, and it still doesn't work. Just crashes immediately after running the exe. I've reinstalled my OS (Windows 7 x64) since my last attempt to launch the game, but the problem persists.
I've upvoted you on Greenlight, but it would be nice to, you know, actually be able to play the game.

It crashes just immediately after I grant it admin rights. No messages other than the standard Windows 'stopped working'. I'm not that eager to play yet, just wanted to see what changed since the last version, but it would be nice if you fixed it anyway.

I see. Then the existing novice/adept naming system is misleading as it implies that the latter is just plain better and the former can be completely replaced... which I did on my first try - a big mistake on my part. Anyway, it's clear that I should give you more time to work on the game before I start picking at it. =)

Thanks for the reply, expecially for the tip about building a shelter. I do like the game, or, rather, what I think this game may become. I hope it will be possible to build a proper stone fort too... someday. No pressure. ^_^
However when I said the adept laser doesn't work I actually meant it (almost) doesn't extract resources. It just depletes, say, an iron deposit in the matter of seconds, punching just a couple of units of iron out of it, whereas using the novice laser I could get dozens of units of the resource from the same deposit, even if it takes much longer.

Is the adept laser supposed to work in the current build? For me it depletes prop xp insanely fast, but doesn't extract almost any resources. Also melee weapons balancing doesn't make sense with spiked club being both strongest and fastest, even better than the lightsaber, and bone sword and axe being equally useless. I do realize this is just an alpha, but I expected at least those things that are already in the game to work more or less properly. Love the concept though, looking forward to a more playable version.
One final question, can I build some sort of shelter to fight off cree... zombies at night? I tried placing blocks of stone on the ground, to no avail. Am I supposed to run in circles killing them all night?
