Alessandro Ponti is a classically-trained pianist and composer of diverse and eclectic tastes. He holds degrees in Composition (with Nadir Vassena and Giovanni Verrando), in Piano (with Paolo Vignani) and Harpsichord (with Patrizia Marisaldi)and has been working in the media industry since 2006, writing music for both the cinema and for games, most notably as collaborator with Slitherine/Matrix Games (Horrible Histories: Ruthless Romans, Battle Academy 1 & 2, the Panzer Corps series, to name a few titles).
Having grown up with the music of Weather Report, Debussy and the right doses of rock, blues and jazz, he has also followed a second path in music, nurtured by his love for jazz, in particular the Hammond organ and vintage keyboards.
In 2011, setting up a portable studio in Los Angeles just for the occasion, he scored the feature film House of Last Things by Michael Bartlett.
