On a completely unrelated note, an ad was on the right side of my page that took up 50% of the window making me unable to type in a name or description for this pic until I reloaded the page a few times and got a different ad. This is why on MY computer I use ADBLOCK D:< (And no clicking the X on the ad didn't get rid of it)

yup, on ModDB you have to use an Adblocker... I've been using one for a while now but I've heard from far to many people with the same problem as you.
Stupid ads..

Nice scene by the way, I'd expect there to be more weapons though since it is an armory =)

There's only like 2 types of weapons in the scene, and a lot of one type at that. If I have more time I have a bunch of untextured props I wanted to put in there.

Has a great look to it Al - I think you made a good choice with the god rays level. Toss some light dust mote particles in there and it's gold !

Yeah that would look great. Shouldn't be too hard either.

Description

Another Render. Did a bit of compositing this time, but no torches as I am rendering them all out in 1 go, because my computer enjoys crashing when I try to freeze the animation D':

I ended up turning the god rays WAY DOWN from their initial brightness, but that's fine. I can increase the AO with the push of a button, but I tried crushing down those black areas a bit.

The render times are 2:30 for the Beauty, :30 fort he god rays, and :05 or less for the glow around the window. Torches go around :45 seconds to about 1:30 depending how close and how many are in the scene at once. Render is at 720p

AA is at 4 samples. Tried 2x at 16 samples but that DOUBLED all render times for an almost completely unnoticeable effect.
