Well, there's the "African Resistance Fighters" faction in Project Reality (which is a generic African rebel faction). They're used on a Mogadishu inspired map, among others.

Are those player models exported and functional already?

Since BF2142 is free nowadays and can be played (online!) through Revive and considering there is a First Strike mod that has everything you want and much more, it might be better to focus your efforts on that mod instead. They could surely use the help and since the engine is an upgraded BF2 engine, you'll be up and running in no time.

Always wanted to see a dog in BF2 - now I found one, but the downloads don't exist anymore - anywhere. If anyone has a link, please post it up?

Looks really nice, well done! I like how this old engine can handle all that kinda stuff.

One thing, is there a way to fix the following? As you can see in the screenshot, you can see the 'end' of the texture on the top and bottom of the screen. Might be better if the texture fades to transparent on the edges?

Also, is there a way to make the sun appear a little sooner? You'd have to stare right at it before the effect kicks in. Look away only a little and it's gone, pretty much.

You need to install that. I've heard of people needing to install it twice:

1. Install
2. Install again, but choose "repair"

You can mount that ISO file. If you're not sure what that is, open the ISO file with programs like WinRAR, 7zip, etc. Then simply run the setup.
