Released a new version that fixes it... although clearly you already beat the level so, not much use to you :P
Oh! Interesting, thanks for letting me know, I'll check that out
Just go to the Files tab and select the one that matches your operating system (windows, mac etc), select that, then on the following page click the big red "Download Now!" button
Looked like some ******** file, almost certainly a hack and containing a virus. I've removed it :/
All the levels are, essentially, giant breakable platforms in the middle of nothing. One of those levels happens to be a giant breakable platform with buildings on it, in the middle of nothing :P
Each of the titles for the downloads has the system its for in the name - theres Linux, Mac, Windows x86 & Windows x64 versions available
Yep! Thats the x86 one. Sorry would probably be better if I'd just said 32-bit & 64-bit, but x86 == 32 bit
Noted, and edited :P
Thanks, glad you think so :)
Also yeh, it's real tough, but that's the nature of the beast! Working on another project as I've done does help you to re-evaluate what it was about the former, bigger project that made you want to do it. In some cases, that means realising it wasn't worth it, and you can move on. In this case, it made me realise what made Env special to myself and the players, so it's given me a renewed purpose to get stuck back in, not to mention the extra experience meaning you can improve on what you did before.
Noted! I've enjoyed making Barbara-ian but yeh, its very different. You'll get your chance to play Env, I promise you that
Whats the message that you get?
You need to extract the contents of the .zip file, then run the Env.exe file
Yeh it'll be finished at some point, I've been working on other things for a while but still chipping away at Env.
I care about it a lot, so I want to make sure the full release is as good as it can possibly be, and part of that is improving my own skills in the meantime.
The new levels are in the current development build, but I won't be releasing them publicly as a free download
Download from the appropriate link for your OS, extract the contents of the .zip file, then run the .exe file
It's something a few people have asked for but it's not on my plans at the moment
Shame, sorry to hear it. It's pretty intense on the CPU, if you've got 64 bit windows then try the x64 version as thatll run faster, otherwise it might just be beyond your pc specs I'm sorry to say. I know it might not look like much graphically but there's a lot of physics processing going on
Provides an embedded download button to another website I think...
Hmm strange, I haven't seen anything quite like that
If you right click on the windows taskbar and select Task Manager, then go to Processes, then try launching the game - can you see Env.exe running there?
Glad you liked it :)
Sorry to say but I'm not planning on including anything like that at the moment
Hehe I guessed :P That's ok I'm happy to answer questions.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, hopefully you'll enjoy the full version a whole lot more!
The food is a sort of catch-all for 'things people need', so I think adding water would be going too far, and I don't want to over complicate the movement with unnecessary systems (like stamina). The running is there for you to vary your movement speed when you need to, as opposed to being an ability that you'd always want to use (and therefore needs to be limited)
That would be cool, but online multiplayer is a huge thing to add into the game, and it doesn't play well with physics, so it's not going to happen, sorry!
Nope, sorry :) Too much work that's going too far away from the original point. I'm only 1 person after all!
It's part of the metaphor... I needed something huge & threatening & constantly approaching that you could never really get time to focus on due to needing food all the time. It's different in the current version - its not a storm anymore - but the principle is the same
Once it's downloaded, extract the files from the .zip then double click the .exe file to play
Sure I understand, hopefully it'll be a little clearer in the final version.
Glad you enjoyed it anyway
Fair enough, I did enjoy it, but ultimately I didn't think it was fitting in well with the rest of the game as time went on. We'll see :)
Glad you enjoyed it :)
