In my opinion, a lot of talent went into this, it was just a mis-step.

I appreciate that you've clearly put a lot of effort into this, and it had a lot of potential, but I'm afraid this is a terrible mod.

The combat is probably the most awful that I've ever experienced in a Source mod. How did you manage to create such terrible AI? As soon as the enemies are spawned, they suicidally charge straight for wherever they magically know you to be, one after the other, and shoot at you with impeccable aim (aren't these supposed to be civilians?). This wouldn't be so bad but because their damage is so high they kill you in seconds. The only way I managed to get through this mod was by hiding around corners, listening to the footsteps, and killing them as quickly as possible when they appear, and even then they somehow managed to pop off several shots. There was no strategy involved whatsoever.

Even if the plot wasn't confusing, it's almost entirely lifted from BioShock. A rebellion in a self-contained citystate against a visionary dictator and the population being driven insane, with a plot twist involving the protagonist's identity - are you asking me to accept you came up with that spontaneously? And as for the voice acting, Watson was excellent, but everyone else was terrible. It's a pity you chose to put your exposition in audio logs, because I could barely keep awake listening to those monotone voices droning on, especially since I had to stand still in order for them not to be drowned out by the background noise. With the exception of Watson none of these characters had any distinct personality and as a result I couldn't care less about what had happened on 581c.

At least the crows were original, and the graphics and atmosphere were good, if overly reused. This mod has polish, but no substance.
