The campaign suffers from checkpoints before cutscenes (among other things), but Outbreak mode offers a MOBA variant that even I can enjoy. =)
Pardon this late reply, but I recently discovered a trick and just tested it in Explodemon a few minutes ago.
Pressing Alt+Enter appears provide a workaround by forcing the program into a window. (In Windows Vista, anyway.) This seems to solve my brightness issues as well since I can use my desktop settings.
(BTW, this also seems good for games that cause monitor frequency errors before the option screen can be used to change the display.)
I've had input problems like others. Reading the Nyu Media forum revealed that launching the game through one's Desura library does something funky. Running the game by directly clicking its EXE file appeared to work fine. My input changes were recognized and the menu was responsive. I never manged to get the BGM to stop being choppy, but the game worked. (Thanks go to Tatsuhoshi in the Nyu Media forum.)
I don't use the ring for the fight. I'm just at a save point behind a pool during this picture. ;)
Does anyone have a winning strategy for the new third boss? I've seen a video of the old version where the player was surprised at the low difficulty. However, there's now a stream of random enemies with less space to move. I wouldn't mind ghosts for health, but I've often had multiple hostiles summoned in a row. I'm finding juggling them nigh impossible and wondering if the difficulty has possibly gone too far in the other direction.
Any chance for in-game brightness controls? My monitor and videocard are as high as they can go, but I still have trouble seeing much more than highlights.

I am ACWraith. I sometimes create games. I also occasionally do unpaid volunteer work for BYOND which includes running their Facebook page. Once upon a time, I also handled featured games and wrote the link digests "Along The Tech Tree" and "BYOND and Within". Both of the latter were revised on my Gamasutra blog with questionable relevance.
