A tank can NEVER have enough upgrades if it means more firepower to strike terror into the enemy! heh heh heh :P
If it ain't broke, just bolt more stuff to the turret until it looks super modern. It "worked" for the M60, no reason not to do it for the T72.
I mean*, it isn't like large powers are having tank battles anymore anyway, right? So might as well.
If all else fails they can always sell them to some warlord in Africa and budget for what they really want. lol
