This is a group for all PC gamers from all gaming generations. From the time of PCs like the Comadore 64 to the modern PCs. By PC i don't mean just Windows, I mean them all like Mac and Linux.
Oh wow that's lotta water cooling indeed and-- FOUR solid state drives?!
Might as well have used a hardware RAMdisk (like this one Theregister.co.uk ) Couldn't find many others due to all the related software links in the way, but I've seen these going up to 64GB. OF ACTUAL RAM. FOR STORAGE.
On an unrelated note, gotta love them barber poles there xD
Not if you have one of the (albeit rare) contraptions like the one I linked to on my previous message.
Basically a monster with MANY RAM slots and a battery of its own to keep it powered, so you can use said RAM to store data, as it functions like a exaggeratedly fast SSD.
...If you're willing to buy even dozens of GB RAM for data storage, and these hardware RAMdisks aren't cheap either xP
P.S.: EIGHT SSD's? (which = 8+, most likely 10 SATA ports). That's a big-*** motherboard he must have.

I know Linus has 8 SSD in RAID 0.
As for a RAMdisk they aren't that amazing as they need to be saved on shutdown and loaded on start up.

Linus is using a raid card. YouTube Linus's personal build if you want to see it. I'm not going to look for it when I'm using a half frozen iPhone 4.
I want to say he needs better monitors with no frames whatsoever, but if I had this I'd tell me to shut the heck up.
