Hey modders, just thought I would give a shout out to the guys over at Usercreated.org who have just started up a blog focusing more to the editorial side of modding which as you know a lot of sites don't really like to cover (if you can guess why I have a lollipop for ya).
Usercreated.org wrote: UserCreated is a brand new resource for mod coverage. We review, preview, discuss and get excited about a wide range of PC game modifications, both old and upcoming, single- and multi-player. We’re not limited to any specific games, either – if it’s a mod, it’ll find its home here, regardless of which mother-game has been modified.
It is nice to see another bunch of brave (maybe foolhardy) souls looking to tap into the modding world so keep an eye on this site as the editors there do know their stuff. If you're looking for that extra coverage (aside from your friendly ModDB) then why not send something fresh over to them, they may be able to help you out.
looks promising
Indeed looks great - all the best guys!
Cool, I believe I've read a thread about this a while ago.
The layout is probably going to need some work though, it doesn't look as appealing as the layout of e.g. modDB. Of course, the content itself is more important, but the page design can make the site look more interesting.
Bookmarked :)
Looks interesting. It'll be nice to see how the site evolves. Thumbs Up!
Thanks muchly to the ModDB guys for being kind enough to pimp a competitor ;-) Although we're not really pushing as direct competition. We exist because we spotted a gap that seems to fit neatly alongside ModDB - as in, this is the sort of place you come to check out the news and which new mods have been released, and UserCreated is the sort of place you go to find out what someone else thinks about that news and those mods.
Cheers to everyone for checking us out, as well. I know it's all a bit work-in-progressy at the moment, but we hope to build a really nice community around this thing. We're already planning regular-ish events where we can have online games in some of the best MP mods that aren't getting much server-attention, so keep your eyes peeled for more info.
Thanks again,

coll!
Reminds me of what Adam Foster and me and friends were trying to do with ModMatic before the months finally caught up and we all lost interest, as blogs usually go -- Hylobatidae.org
Yep - the demise of Modmatic was one of the things that led to me conceptualising UserCreated a while back. Obviously you guys were quite specific in the sorts of mods you covered - as in, Half-Life 2-only, single-player only, pretty much released stuff only. Our spread's wider, but if we can hit the same quality, I'll be pleased.
Very interesting site. Will be keeping my eyes on it in the future.
Has potential, but your membership system is borked and no one answers emails :| Not a promising start.
