False update alerts, and/or updating difficulty? Thread - Desura

Has anyone else been experiencing problems with this end of the software?
I and my users were getting false "update available" notices a few weeks ago despite no uploads, when ok was clicked it gave some generic error about no update being available then goes to a "preparing' progress bar indefinitely.
Now that I've released an actual update, it seems to do the same, not providing the new content.

Slight tangent: Anyone else thing having this "remove from desura account" not only available but defaulting to opt-in when you click uninstall a bit irresponsible? I've gotten multiple emails from users saying they cant find their game after trying the old uninstal/reinstall trick, and I'd be lying if I said I didn'tdo it myself once.

I have not done it myself, but I nearly have on a couple of occasions. Which would be very unfortunate if it was done with a paid game, as that might cause more than a little bit of an issue. I think that it should be changed. Further, I have also noticed the "false update available" glitch at least once, though not recently, due to my lack of having used desura in several months.

I keep getting users telling me about false update alerts and asking me to resend their CD Keys because they accidentally remove the game when trying to reinstall it to get said false update to work
