hi guys/girls

i have a question before i start to play around with the Free SDK and that is what is the difference between the Free SDK and the Mod SDK
or is it just that the Mod SDK comes with all the Crysis 2 assets and requires crysis 2 where as the Free SDK does not

could some one clarify this for me please, as i would like to eventuly start to make a indie game with cryengine 3 after i work it out and get my other projects almost completed

Thank You

That is pretty much what you said. :)
The free SDK does not rely on Crysis 2 and also does not contain any specific Crysis 2 content. By specific, that's stuff like AI, plants, vehicles, most audio and particles etc.

The Free SDK, comes with some sample content, some plants, buildings, a character, some particles, and materials and some audio sounds for ambience. Sample content can be used/released as part of a non-commercial release.
Not sure about foley sounds and some particles, I think some clarification is still needed on those. Like bullet impacts, footstep sounds and such.
