Very intersting design ideas from different animals. I really like what you've done here with the character design. If you can, you should work on a more natural/resting or in-action pose, because that would be more interesting to look at. The side view is interesting for modellers though, if you add all the other views, too.
The only things I don't like so much is the eye and the presentation in general. You worked out each section with care, added texture and color and then you just add such a cheap effect for the eye? Having a magical/glowing blue eye fits the character, but I'm pretty sure you can execute that idea a lot better than you did here.
For the presentation: Just adding a grey background with your signature is really boring for the eye. It's often a good idea to let the content of what you're showing re-appear in the background. If you started with multiple design sketches, use them for the background. If this character lives in a certain atmosphere, show some parts of it to create a better mood. You can also add more depth to it, if you draw a very rough sketch of an environment that has perspective. Photography can be blended in with the background and simply things that relate to the character, there are a lot of possibilities to use the background to sell the foreground better.
Also, how big is this character? Add a simple element we can judge sizes on. The most common trick for it is to simply add a human figure next to it.
But, I really like the idea of combining cheetah/cat with chitin armor of insects. The textures you used in the fur a really well blended in, it looks really convincing. The contour of the character is interesting, aswell.
