Basically what it says in the link is that the Kickstarter website has no way to refund your money if a project you backed fails. And the developers are not liable for any projects not released. |

What did you expect? You are donating the money, not investing! the purpose of kickstarter like funding in the case of gaming is for the people who never have realeased a game to have a chance, it is not meant as a source of income for existing game studios / existing whatever. It's purpose is to enable the creation of NEW projects. Edited by: HumbleLinux |

i was just trying to say that people should be cautious of who they give their money to, thats all. --

Fair enough I only wanted to say, that the pure fact some studio never released a game before, should not stop anyone from donating - quite the contrary. I don't know anything about this particular case though, and I'm not talking about this concrete project. |

As long as they have something to show, & are not pitching ideas or blagging, it may or may not be worth the risk, big-name or no-name. You still have to contend with the fact that some games end up not being that good, too. At the end of the day, it's a gamble, so place bets wisely. And would you trust this man with your money? On a similar note, I'm going to use Kickstarter to raise capital for my CASH 4 GAEMS Money Laundering Service, here's my proposal so far: Pledge $15 Pledge $30 Pledge $100 Pledge $1000 Pledge $1,000,000 Pledge $25,000,000 Pledge $250,000,000 Pledge $1,000,000,000 Pledge $2,500,000,000
