It's a really nicely modeled character, but whenever I see the body, the head just kills it. I know you are more of an anime artist, though the body seems more suited for a more realistic head. If you want to achieve a more anime style, try to exaggerate some features (you're already doing good with the breasts xD) like smaller legs, broader hips, tiny feet, thin arms and larger chest.

good luck man @!

anything fictional is not restricted to realistic... seen anime also fictional and it can fits with other things, not just some magical or girlie stuff only but the mixed up with some cools feature will make em turns out good! as example : ghost in the shell

Dude, Wird is right, I'm not an anime fanboy, but I've seen a good amount to really say, her head is messed up and her nose it is kind of badly shaped, a good model. You can do fiction, YES, but she's human, you must respect some proportions always, regarding the style... her heads it's not only too small for her body, it's extremely squarish, when anime uses egg shapes, she lacks of a chin and looks like a mice.

Dude, if you see those pics, you'll find out the eggshape head, not the square one, they actually have a chin! The last one is a rounded face, but have a chin, you can actually see it. It have a basic egg shape.

You need pro refs? Go to an art school. Do you want a good example? Ok, here you have some you arrogant little prick. I'm talking from a professional art point of view, as a modeler you must be able to do anything, even what you hate. And I did on more than one anime models and I draw manga style, is the easier art school that exist, that's why mostly all animes and mangas are almost the same style being the originality the story (sometimes not even that)

Logicalmart.co.uk
Animejackpot.com
Westcountryanime.org.uk

If you really want pro-art, GTFO of deviant art and anime fan-boy sites and got check some Ozamu Tezuka basic draws, then check some Katsuhiro Otomo mangas and movies, watch the anime Sayonara Zetsoubo Sensei or Bakemonogatari and you'll realize that no matter what kind of story you're telling, genre, you need to make a character look human always, her head is horrible, anyone with common sense can see that, and if you really like Masamure Shirow, you'll know that he always look photorealism, not that chibi pedophile **** that everybody likes so much now.

Besides, none of those pics have that mice look you provided to your model. I'm talking from the art direction point of view, if you need examples from someone, you're just some low ****** quality artist who can't take criticism.

Peace! (and This goes for everybody in the group making excuses for blowing up a model)

Oh! So... is that your argument? You're an architecture student! I'm a communication sciences graduated with 4 years of experience in advertising, and from august this year: A recognized academic authority in latin america in computer arts and university teacher in art direction basis (The subject is about finding your own personal style an polish it, yes, I'm not into anime, but I know how to draw it even so)

Please, don't use that argument with me, nor anyone, mainly cause no one cares about those details. Besides, architecture is not a scientific area of expertise, sad, but true. Now, engineering... that's another subject. I have fellow architects and all agree that's not a science, is an art form, but science? Meh.

Take the criticism and use it, or you'll be another modeler that won't last in the professional field where criticism is constantly made via "I won't pay yoy for this piece of crap"

So do yourself a favor, bow down, hear what people tell you and improve the head, it's not so hard to keep that rounded face and make a nose with some faces, rather than some welded verts that seems to be overlaped. Beyond the style is resemblence, if something you draw, doesn't resemble to anything you seek, it's not worthy of using. Just think about the riggin, if this ever gets used, the lip sync would be nearly imposible and if it's made, it will look pretty awful since the tiny mouth lack of a good chin.

So, please, think twice before tossing an argument.

dude i got paid for my model and also appear in machinima and the model is facepose in source engine... do you ever download and try my model?
you love so much with realistic, go ahead make your own copy my design... all your work i see more towards realistic, nothing good for my example... and its all unfinished! just sculpting... thats all!

a good teacher showing the example on same stuff not like "i build an house, but you show design of 5 star apartments"

its look mice because angle! i do follow the model shape from the game.. not creating my own without any reference...

Dude, get this on your head and nail it: It's not about style, it's about anatomy.

Arg! **** it, you don't get it, you're just too damn proud of yourself to realize something as simple.

@Zeno Shame some people don't have an IQ above 10. The head needs to be rehabilitated, end of; and that’s from a modeller's interpretation/perspective. You should follow community criticism otherwise you’re not going to get anywhere... else, there's absolutely NO point in posting your work here.

Fxor, don't waste your time, just keep this in mind, I always say it to my students:

"If you can't take criticism, or draw different styles, then you can't draw at all and you should quit this career, because, on the field: You'll draw what your client wants you to draw, from Anime to Sticks; and only after some years, if you're patient, succesful and most than anything have contacts, talent and luck. You'll be making money drawing whatever you want, if you don't like this argument, then go to a street corner and start selling your draws and pray the Gods you can get any cash from them... and even if you're selling high, that neccesarily makes you a good artist. Enjoy criticism and never be happy about what you do, so you can channel all that energy into getting better"

P.S.: Indiedb.com -> He barely got a 6, you know... and that talks more than anything posted here.

In other models of him I read the same thing regarding proportions and even some mockery... and I'm the badass ************.
