"The Second Coming of the Wild West"
A futuristic wild west, Warm Gun combines the favorite motifs of the classic western genre with the scraps of an obliterated technocracy.
The worlds ecologists’ long unheeded cries have been silenced by the grim truth of their predictions. To the last drop of oil have the world’s resources been depleted, and only sporadic traces of modern structure can be sifted in the dust. Time ticks forward but humans must retrace their advancement back, through a history that has already been lived and to the Wild West for the second time around. We have trampled ahead to the past in muddy boots, to the United States of late 19th century. Greeted by the ghost of the wide-open country, the exhausted land is barren too, of all the old dreams we fulfilled beyond our means.
This spun western lets you create your own one-of-a-kind characters and unique gangs; choose from weapons new and strange and a wider range of modern contraptions with primitive power. Classic and innovative, undoubtedly original, every FPS player will find happiness with Warm Gun.
I'm happy to announce that we are officially open for business, we now have our Homepage and Forums up and rockin... Warmgun.ca and I'd like to invite the Mod DB community to check it out. Feel free to stop in and give us some constructive criticism.
We have some nice Concept Art filtering in and pre-production is well underway.
Here are some beautiful Concept Pieces from Ben Wilkinson
Thanks for taking the time to check it out...
great idea, i'm a huge wild west/ Steam-punk fan. Your artist is talented, but i would recommend more concentration on life studies. Work on your anatomy and better things will come in your artwork. Keep it up guys!
Great backstory and setting, good luck guys!
Sounds awesome. My one question is whether this will be a single or multiplayer game?
wow this looks amazing, good luck.
Ah sorry for any confusion...It's going to be a Multiplayer game that is heavy on the team based gameplay.
Thanks for checking it out guys...stay tuned, it's growing fast.
Ooh, me like! Great concepts, very cool style!
Some more details would be great, but looks awesome. I'm loving the concept art. The premise reminds me of Joss Whedon's Firefly series a bit.
