To Conquer all Stars is what we like to call a "Casual 4x Strategy Game". Blending galaxy conquering with quick and easy gameplay. Pick one of five races and set out to expand your one world into a vast empire. Research new techs, build colony ships, and begin to spread out, but be careful you aren't the only race on the rise. The Universe is a small place and you will have to either negotiate, trade or battle other empires into submission.
I know that many of us are waiting for Galactic Civilizations III. If you are looking at this page, 4 X games DO interest you. While it would be unfair to compare this gem to any of the GalCiv games, I do think it fills a nice niche in the same way that Desktop Dungeons fills a niche in rogue-likes: enough gameplay to engage you, plenty of variety, and a nice break from more involved games like the aforementioned GalCiv series.
If you like 4X games, if you liked Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space, then grab this!!

What a great game! Right from the start you are greated with a great title screen and an understandable and well delivered tutorial which explains the game in an easy to understand way (a must if you are unfamiliar with this type of game)
I was a complete novice at this type of game before i started and within 10 minutes of play i was hooked for hours. The graphics are great and the music is perfectly placed. The gameplay is tactical yet fast paced and easy to follow and you find yourself eager to start the next round.
All in all a great game i would recommend anyone to play. Well worth a purchase!
