There's just something about them when I see his face that just doesn't seem right, maybe it's my perspective of the character. My opinion is that the eyes maybe way too large or seem scaled incorrectly with the face/head of the character that it seems strange.
i think that they look like they were drawn on a face without eyes, there is no depression which 'eyeballs' fit into.
I agree with Mernom, they could use a bit more depth. Other than that it looks great!

Hey, first of all i want to say that I much appreciate your work! Wouldn't it be good if we could personalize our character ourselves? It's kind of boring when everybody looks the same in a game... I don't know if you already had that as an idea, but I must say that if we can personalize: this will be the best pokemon game ever!!!
