So that's it, after 10 months of part time development, Twixel is finally posted to Steam Greenlight. The idea of the game first came to me last Christmas, when I had just finished Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and realised the intricacy of controlling two characters at once. Combining this with Super Hexagon, a game I cherish tremendously, Twixel was born!
You can check out the Steam Greenlight page below:
It's been a gruelling 10 months, but it's not over yet, there will be many updates given to Twixel whilst it makes its way through Greenlight, including my new plans to make an additional 3 levels which'll be even harder than the first 3. These levels are looking a lot harder than the symmetrical ones that are currently in the game, and will be completely random on both sides of the screen.
In other news, today I made one of my favourite obstacles so far, one that should confuse players the first time they see it, take a look below:
The obstacle looks and works like a charm. I was able to splice it in half and use it many times for many more obstacles, like the one below:
Either way, I hope you like the progress, and as always if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to me on Twitter (@Caesoose), Facebook (Facebook.com/caesoose), or on IndieDB itself. I'll be happy to answer any questions or welcome any feedback.
