We have been very busy updating Three Dead Zed (3DZ) and feel you are all going to really appreciate the following updates:
- New Ability - Player can switch forms next to walls and obstacles. This is Major!
- New Ability - Fast zombie can wall-cling on pistons, retractable walls, and destructible walls.
- Pistons and movable platforms won’t crush Player colliding with an obstacle/wall if there is space to slide parallel to movement.
- Standing on retractable walls while they move works correctly. No “shooting” through floor.
- Controller process will now start and stop properly in Windows OS.
- Balanced stage 4 (office level 4)
- Balanced stage 17 (office level 7) - fixed checkpoint detection.
- Minor respawn and death glitches fixed.
- Minor texture re-alignments.
The following is set for the near future:
Linux controller: We are working really hard to get native controller support in Linux. We were hoping to release it for this patch, but unfortunately, we had to push Linux controller support to 1.4.1. There were a few bumps in development. We felt with how many critical updates we are addressing, we could not hold off releasing this version. Rest assure, this is our number one priority right now regarding development of 3DZ.
More levels: These unlock after beating the game. If you have already beaten the game, we are going to invite you to “The Challenge Room!” The name however may change. These will be a series of tests that will push your skills in thinking and reflexes. These will not advance the story, but will provide some story related hints.
New graphics: Yes! New graphics! These graphics will be added to the original stage designs along with the new set pieces for “Challenge Room” area.
