Absolutely. The series liked it's technicolor nebulae too as I recall.
although many of those nebs were real footage from the Hubble (FACT!)
Although I would imagine they were taking nebs from all over the visible galaxy and throwing them into the same bit of sky. With the brightness and colour turned way up of course. Not complaining. It was very pretty. Scenes like the Narn assault at Gorash would have been less striking without the beautiful backdrop.
