Part 1 : Beat'em up action!
As gamers, we had very fond childhood memories of playing beat'em up classics such as Streets of Rage, Final Fight, or Double Dragon on lazy Wednesday afternoons. The Asskickers is our attempt to emulate the old Japanese masters and pay homage to them while at he same time pushing the genre into new thematic territory.
However, The Asskickers remains first and foremost, a beat'em up game : combos, special attacks, hordes of villains, over the top end level bosses, we got all the bases covered.
The Asskickers is pretty cool as a solo game but, as a beat'em should, is way better and funnier in co-op.
The game was designed with co-op in mind and this modes feature exclusive collaborative attacks, in-game banter and some meaningful choices that should put mass effect and other AAA -RPGs to shame.
So if you really want tot get the most out of The Asskickers, grab a friend and get some asskicking done!
