Demos are here!
You might need additional libraries on linux, best bet is to run in terminal and see which .so is missing.
We are currently raising funds to help us develop the game faster, check it out! Indiegogo.com

Tavern Of Heroes follows the story of a small tavern located in a kingdom ruled by might and magic. Many heroes from the surrounding regions enjoy the fine ales and the great atmosphere of the tavern. The fate of those heroes will be intertwined depending on your decisions. As these heroes form parties to further their goal, more of them will show up in the tavern. Here's a list of the features of the game:
After many weeks of polishing and testing, our demo is now available. This demo gives a sneak peek of the battle system and chooses randomly between 2 locations and multiple heroes. Since it's random, you can give it multiple try and you *should* come up with different teams. The demo is available on windows mac and linux.
Now, we'll work on finishing the parts connecting the battle system to everything. We already have a part of the tavern, shop and character management done as well as save games and everything. The next release should be the alpha. We've also started the process to add our game on Desura.
Again, don't forget to follow us on twitter and facebook. You can also check our indiegogo if you feel like helping us develop the game faster.

Pretty good so far. I like the combat system overall and after the tutorial page it was much clearer what each skill did.
My only gripe would be that enemies attacking in melee will sometimes stop attacking their target and pick someone else. This can be very hard to spot if the target they choose is just behind the character they were just fighting. This often results in a mage who is near the fighting being killed from around 30% hp before you can react.
Also, it's possible to get 4 goblin healers at one time, along with a few normal enemies. This makes surival rather unlikely.
Glad to see someone check the tutorial pages, most don't. It should be easier when we introduce the tavern and skill trees (next update), which will give a slower pace to the learning as you'll unlock stuff progressively.
Yea, we have a way to make sure melee characters don't stack together (involving current target and other units targeting it) but we still need to figure out a way to do that with ranged characters.
As for the 4 healers, looks like we need to work a lil more on our dynamic enemy generation, we'll look into it :)
Thanks a lot for your comment man, you rock :)
Having played more, I've got more comments for you, if you want them. ;)
It seems that when you get both the fire and the frost mage you are in real trouble, because you just can't tank with either of them, unlike the rogue or archer. The trees with the rocks in hand can do a mighty 149 dmg in one hit to these guys, which is almost a 1-shot-kill, and often is (because they are already a little hurt).
I've tried to use their most damaging abilities to take down melee enemies before they can reach my casters, but when your tank is tanking three guys and you have another two melee fighters attacking your casters, it's hard to keep them all away.
I always want more comments :)
Well the dps characters aren't supposed to tank of course, esp. the mages since they are so squishy :P. We try to aim for a game that you really need a strategy on how to use the skills. Usually when I play, I keep stunning or slowing skills for those situations.
We're working hard on the alpha which will add the character progression, skill trees with levels and quests. It will be easier since you'll have control on who is in your team and your skills.
Thanks again for the comments :)
Good Work
Thank you :)
Awesome stuff!
Thanks :D
You guys are awesome! I hope you reach the goal at indiegogo!
Thank you ^^
