In Synespectra the player takes control of a disc armed with a rotating, bullet-shooting shield, facing waves of alien opponents in neon-like world.
By using different the QWEASD keys, the player can change the color of the ship's bullets. Only when the colors match will the bullets or shield have any effect. The game allows the player to use any audio file (MP3 or WAV format) as their stage.
