Not really a Tip or Suggestion. Just a bit of fun on my latest play-through. It should be noted that I'm a fairly Good player. I don't kill those that don't deserve it and I spare looters who wish to be spared.

This idea made its way into my head during the negotiation talks between the Fat Neil's and McCoy's, during the last part of that quest.

I was overseeing the talks between Dorcas and Comilla and their communities. I realized there were two dialogues going on and I look over and Alice is speaking to a member of the McCoy's. Alice was in the middle of saying, "I'll do anything to survive." She had - by herself! - accepted a quest to burn down a barn for insulin. True, it's so that she can live ... but it seemed brutal to me; especially to do it, literally, while the negotiation talks were going on (side note: I was able to complete the negotiations successfully, but also continue burning barns n' such for insulin ... bit of a glitch, Bob?)

It was a bit of a wake up call for me. I finally realized Alice wasn't the sweet girl I thought she was. It was a bit freeing for me: to finally realize ... we're not necessarily the good guys.

I had been having a problem with my community being fluffed up by looters that I spared as long as they'd work as pack mules for me. It always left a bad taste in my mouth as, when I would talk to them, they would tell Joe, "I will never forgive you! I hate you!" Phsh. For someone I could have killed, you think they'd be more appreciative!

So I decided to build a long, wooden fenced path branching off of my main community. The fenced path, heading north from the bunker, eventually opened up to a small fenced-in area. I knew everyone in my community was wondering what I was going to do with the new area. Was it for crops? Maybe a water tower?

I took all of those looters I saved and, with Joe, I brought them to the new area. It was there that, one by one, I told them all to leave my group.

I executed them all.

Now I have a small fenced-in area to the north of my community where I have dozens of dead bodies of looters-turned-community-members that thought they were too good for me. Now my community is finally a perfect size, and only filled with people who actually want to be here.

Meanwhile, Alice and Isham burned down some barns to stock up on insulin.

Now when I save a looter I take them back to my camp and, accompanied only by Joe, I make them walk that long eery walk to those Grim Gates that open up to unimaginable horror.

God I love this game.
