Here is a list of simple game additions that may make it better.

--All item crafting and mining.

Every item in the game should be craftable: insoline, ammo, alcahol, guns, chicken wire, cloth(growable cotton?), matches etc, etc.

Every resource in the game should be growable and minable: the concrete, the wood, etc. With the option to select where to automaticly store the resources once they run out of inventory space.

--City buildings and fences demolishable

The buildings and fences in the towns and citys should be demolishable so that you can gain some of thier resources to use as your own.

--Blood loss

There should be a plant like beans that you can grow and eat to heal your characters blood loss kinda like what a health potion would do for you in other games.

--Sleep Deprivation

Could add coffee beans to the game to make coffee with which would temporarily halt sleep deprivation.

--More perks associated with leveling up your skills

skills like fitness should do more than just raise you max stamina, like increase the max blood loss (maybe put that on medical skill), decrease how long you need to sleep befor your fully rested, and increase how long befor your thirsty.

Firearms skill should allow you to kill any zombie or person in one shot to the head with any weapon once maxed out, like reality. Targeting should start at the head once maxed out instead of starting on the torso.

--Add a true no ending sandbox mode to the game

Accessable from the main menu just under new game you could select sandbox mode which allow the game to continue even after you finish the finish game quest, and even if your main character dies. Main starting character in this mode could be selectable from a list of characters you have unlocked playing the real mode by recruiting them or finishing thier associated quests.

--Auto harvest, replant, and auto store.

Once any plant has reached full growth there should be an option on the farmers to auto harvest and replant them, and select what building auto store thier harvested goods so as to make the farming aspect of the game more automatic and worry free. As it is we have to harvest and replant the fields ourselves.:(

(Note: The addition of more plants may require the growth times of plants to be reduced, and or the amount of time befor they need water to be increased.)

Making every item craftable, and then renewable would completely ruin the feeling of surviving a zombie apocalypse, where many things are no longer being produced, some are hard to come by, items are always running out. This ain't Minecraft or Terraria.

Demolishing town fences would be nice, but I could see it being abused to get resources too easily.

Having some coffee to temporarily decrease sleep deprivation would be an interesting addition.

There are different types of guns already that do different amounts of damage. Increasing Firearms skill so that any single shot would knock out a zombie would be really meaningless, it wouldn't even matter what gun you had. You already can kill White Strain zombies with a single Sniper Rifle shot at Fitness 5, the drawback is that it has a slow reload time.

Sandbox mode would be nice, and perhaps some of your suggestions would make more sense there, but it is separate from the Story mode.

Auto farming? Farming is already easy enough, any more and we'll just pretend it's not even there.

This game is meant to be hard at first, once you get used to it you can do things efficiently enough that you don't need much more resources. Your suggestions would make the game boring, and have no challenge

I don't think you have got the idea of this game at all, play Minecraft or Terraria instead. Heck even some RTS.

Thank you for your comments.

I do play Minecraft, Terraria, Daggerfall, Marrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fable: the lost Chapters, Fable 3, Fallout: new vegus, Dark Age Of Camelot, World Of Warcraft, Command and Conquer (The entire collection), Black and White, Black and White 2, COD black ops, COD black ops 2, The Sims: 1, 2, and 3, Diablo: 1,2, and 3, and my favorite all time zombie apocalypse game to date, 7 Days TO Die(which does have all item crafting and a mode of play that produces an infinite size world with no boundry), and many, many, many other games. Yeah, in my 30's been playin, and makin video games since the time of atari, and the old comidor computers with the real floppy drives.

All the ideas mentioned could just be put into the sandbox mode, or not at all. It makes no dif to me as this is the forum for new ideas and new ideas is what I will continue to post here.

Here is another list of ideas that could or could not be implemented.

--On the mini map the players characters colors are green, it may be useful to have a green arrow pointing the way back to your currently selected character when your in command mode.

--Custom Waypoint set/Remove

--water could restore some fatigue.

--Ability to select you characters skills and see a description of the benefits its current level provides.

Sorry I was probably a bit harsh before.

I like all your new suggestions though.

Also in game it says items can be taken with the middle mouse button though it doesn't seem to work.

Wish I still had a working computer. Mine got a virus so I'm playin on the xbox360.

I've been playin awhile now and have multiple saved games I no longer need, but I've noticed there is no option to delete a saved game. This is one thing that I would like to see added to both the pc and xbox360 versions of the game. Pritty pritty please?

Dec 18 2015 Anchor

If it was PC I would just go to Documents/SavedGames/Survivalist and delete the files from there. Btw the Steam Beta versions have a new save interface that allows more than 6 saved games. I don't know about Xbox 360 though.

Dec 21 2015 Anchor

On xbox 360 the only way to delete saved game data is in the xbox system menu, under the storage tabs, select the right drive, then the game, and you can delete the save game data from there, but this deletes all the saves, and doesn't allow you to pick just 1 save or another to delete. So if you do this you have to start all over with a new game. Most of the other games I play on xbox 360 have the option in the load and or save menu's to delete the currently selected saved game file, but this game does not. It really needs it.

I thought of another idea for the game.

-- Tactical Stances

The ability to make your party members harder to hit by haveing them crouch, or go prone.

Also noticed that in battle while not controling spacific units they sorta just run around on there own, maybe the option to HOLD GROUND so they dont move around exposing themselves durring a fight when you had them behind cover befor the fight started. I meen I can see moving to the side of cover so they can at least get a line of sight on thier enemy but these guys just completely walk out into the open begging to be taken out. What the??? Who does that??

Naturally the AI would have to be programed to not fire when there is an obstical between them and the enemy otherwise you will have guys fireing rocket launchers from behind cover blowing themselves up lol.

----Several Days Later----

Started another playthrough of them game and this time I thought I would go for the "POWER" win. So I'm building the largest community I can, but with the more buildings I have and supplies I gather the harder it becomes to keep track of whats items I have in what buildings. So I thought of another idea to help organize things.

---Building Labeling

For example: The barn, once finished it would be nice to be able to change the name at will, from barn to something like, Armory, Food Storage, Construction Storage, or Sleeping Quarters. This would also help personalize the game for each player allowing them to customize there own building labels.

OR--- Simply add the ability to find different colored paints to be found in some of the stores, that players could use to paint thier buildings different colors. So for example I would put all my weapons in the red barn, all my food and gardening stuff in the green one, construction material in the blue one, all my gift items in the white one, etc, etc.

---Jan 4th---

----Go to Sleep

Not all the people in my traveling group are always fully rested, because the characters themselves have the sole ability to decide when they go to sleep. I would like to have all the survivors in my traveling group to be fully rested at the same time. This could be accomplished by adding the ability for the player to be able to tell the survivors to go to sleep.

----Thankful

I'm thinkin if some one in your community is bringing supplies home that the other people in the community would notice it and like it. So there should be some small reward of respect and or approval for each item a person brings home with the other community members. Like you would see this on a brain scann "Joe Wheeler brought home 2 cement +0.2 Approval/Respect", that sort of thing.
