Fisticuffs,Respect, Where is it? Thread - Survivalist

Yo, bob, I'm trying and trying to find a way to make these looter gangs neutral to my people, then recruite them, but there just doesnt seem to be a good way to do it. They dont have enough gold to trade with so you can gain the respect you need by selling them things. The option to challange them to fisticuffs to gain respect is not there on most or all of the gang members. Trying to shake them down after there neutral and after giving them gifts always seems to result in makeing them open fire or get a negative rebuffed affect. If you have already cleared the area around them there's just no way to find a zombie and get it close enough to them to kill in front of them to gain any respect, and even if you do its not enough to make a real difference.

This game needs some type of changes or tweeks made to it to make this task more do-able. I should be able to let them rob one of my people, then use another person to sell them enough corn to get the gold back and that +20 respect, and then be able to sell corn to thier friends to do the same. Then all I should have to do is give them each a gift or two to get the remaining needed Approval, then fisticuff challenges for the remaining needed respect, and wha la I should be able to recruite them after that. But um... no...?????

Aslo I think the amount of people and types of weapons and amount of ammo, wheather or not they have body armor, all should have some type of connection to wheather they decide not to fight if you stand up to them. If I arrive with 2 or 3 more people than they have in there own group and we are all armed to the teeth, it makes sence that they would cave, but yet this doesnt happen either...??? I tried to bring only people with dominant and or bully in thier personality profiles along to do it but that dont work either...???
