Super Monkey Star is a level-based action runner video game with a cartoon art approach and RPG elements. The story is set in a distant future where sci-fi aesthetics are used.
The game explores the struggle of the bionic simian and player-character “Iter” against the mad robot uprising and the Robot Masters under its control.
The overall gameplay is as known as “infinite-runner”with elements of RPG, as leveling up, experience and skillset for each character.
The art combines 2D and 3D cartoon graphics and has a number of parts inspired by van Gogh’s art. The music is originally produced for the game and involves a range of music genres: electronic, rock and drum’n’bass.
