A free to play, Multiplayer, Stunt Driving game, with global leaderboards, currently in active development by one person, Stunt Car Online is a playable download racing game powered by Unity 3d. The game will be a pay-what-you-want model where I humbly ask for players to donate a little money to help support me - mostly paying for the astronomical hosting fee's! - but you never know, getting a unity pro license one day would certainly help performance! :) Currently there is an online demo of the game, but this is rapidly becoming very out dated as I am no longer updating this version. Thanks for your time!

I know normals are difficult, but do you do any highpoly to lowpoly baking in 3DMax?
specular should be easy cause you just use the normals and convert them to grayscale, then invert. Maybe a little contrast too.

No, I don't create any hi poly model normal maps for the buggy. My modelling skills aren't that good! ;) - I've taken to hand creating the normal maps using crazy bump and a lot of photoshop. It's an area I definitely need to learn.

I have been in the process of learning highpoly to lowpoly baking and still don't fully understand it. I'm very impress that you can do such amazing models without it.

Thanks!

To be honest, applications like CrazyBump really help reduce the amount of work normal map creation is - sure the results aren't as great as a high poly model but beggars can't be choosers! :)

(Just a pity my crazy bump trial has timed out haha)

The "finished" car - before importing it into Unity and setting up all the material shaders. (Specular and Normal map being the big tasks!)
