TeamSkyfire has finally been honored with having Stasis incorporated into IndieDB. We are strong fans of the site and its professionalism and community and we hope to make good impressions as we work on Stasis.
Seeing as this is Stasis's first news post, I will keep it short and sweet. We have just released a new video for Stasis showcasing what we like to call the 'clustergun'. If you watch the video, you'll no doubt see why. The clustergun is probably the most dynamic weapon in the game so far and it's a ton of fun to use. We are still tweaking it but it has pretty much been wrapped up. So, without further ado, we present the video hosted here on IndieDB:
Our in-game resolution is a little skewed with the IndieDB videoplayer, so if you would like to watch it without the juicy, pixelly details being squished to death, here is the YouTube version:
Unfortunately, you'll be disappointed to be dutifully informed that the last 10 seconds of that trailer won't be possible in normal play of the game. I just had to showcase how awesome the clustergun was with basically infinite ammo. You could develop medically induced seizures from that many explosions.
As you can probably guess from the videos, our environments still need a huge face-lift and lots of work has yet to be done. Right now we are focusing on the gameplay mechanics and such, so building levels will be all that more solid when we get to it.
We hope you enjoy the video and look forward to a more playable version of the game! Please leave some constructive comments as we value all feedback!

Looks pretty insane for a side scroller honestly =] and that with game maker as well? ZomG!!!
Agreed on the facelift though, but I think its seriously looking up! tracking =]
Thanks! Yeah we've insisted on pushing GM to new limits with this. Face-lift is coming sometime soon.
Looks and sounds badass already!
Thanks so much, and we only plan on improving everything, so if that's your first impression, be ready for what's next!
Love the muzak.
I'll be sure to let Trevor know, he's a great composer for our team.
Funky enough for me ! I'll track this and look forward to seeing where you go with the graphics on v.8 here. Looks like it'll be a lot of fun !
v.8? That probably won't happen for a long time, haha. But when we get there, it will probably be close to being 120% awesome.
