StarDrive is a 4X Action-Strategy game where the goal is to build a space empire. Starting with a single planet and a small number of space-worthy vessels, you forge out into the galaxy, exploring new worlds, building new colonies, and discovering the StarDrive universe. The heart of StarDrive is its ship design and combat engine. StarDrive takes a module-based approach to ship design, allowing the player to create custom ship designs where the composition and placement of ship modules really matters to the performance of a ship in combat. In combat, if your portside armor is taking a beating, then rotate around and show them the starboard side! Hide behind a friendly capital ship's shields, warp into and out of the fray, launch fighters, lay mines, and so much more.

Here are some features that I think would add greatly to the game that I thought you might want to think about introducing to the game.
#1. A way to exit from various menus without having to use the exit key such as right mouse button.
#2. A better looking Tech screen maybe something along the lines of Master of Orion 3 or Galactic Civilizations.
#3. Ability to right click units and have a sub menu to give them various autopilot orders such as scouting missions or auto colonize certain types of planets.
#4. Have initial contact with other races be scrambled until you can research their language or a universal translator.
#5. Following along the above idea, introduce voice dialog for the diplomatic encounters, for all I care and probably most other people do it in your own voice to save money, then just get some free voice mod software and change various aspects of the speeche like upping the bass and treble or slowing the speech down, there is lots of options there to really add alot of atmosphere to the diplomatic encounters.

As I said though this is all ideas coming from someone who has been playing games since the early 80's and has played almost every scifi themed game out there.
I would love to see you guy succeed with this game, I love what you have done so far :D
