Hehe, shared that forum post below when I was at work earlier and hadn't time to actually read that forum post. The problem seems not to be on your side but on mine. I'll try to fix that issue and let you know!

It's the kernel32.dll which crashes because of the broken 32-Bit compability mode. Here is a guide how to fix this problem I just found on the internet:

I never used Windows Vista so I cannot really say if this helps...

Nevertheless I see you are running version 1.0 of Sonar, which makes sense, because you are running the demo You can download v1.2 on indievania for free, try that version and spend money later in case you liked it

You could do me a favor and download the new version of the game from indievania (PWYW) and test, if the bugfix really works If you say "yes" I would publish it on Desura, IndieCity and Playism, too.
