Shoppe Keep is the story of an NPC that we all encounter in our everyday Role Playing games, he always has general goods for us when we need it, always has potions and weapons ready to be sold at prices that are always fair! This is the game where we drop the N from NPC of a shop keeper, and let you supply the adventurers.
So customers now actually bring dirt into the shop where they walk...A new game play feature that will make you clean up the shop and fix up worn out objects? Check.
Dunno how to feel about this. On one hand, it's probably quite accurate. On the other, this could be extremely tedious.
Will there be doormats? What determines if a customer will make the floor dirty? Is there just a random point value and if it's greater then 0 they apply some amount of dirt? Or does every customer apply the same amount of dirt every time?
Good questions, for testing purposes the dirt was ramped up to 11, to see how it works, but basically every customer step has a very small random float amount that is added to the zone that is being stepped on, bringing out some dirt, in real game time, to have a zone have 100% dirtiness, almost a few thousand customers would have to walk trough your shop. And still removing a 100% dirty zone, cleaning it would take less than a second. I would be more concerned about display objects such as shelves or counters getting worn from placing, taking, stealing, knocking of items, customers say they dont like items on worn out displays....
Thank you for the insight. =)
