A whimsical nautical role playing game from Oliver Joyce, the creator of the popular game seriesSwords and Sandals.

Take a mighty ship, a rascal sea captain, a talking coconut and a motley crew of expendable, mutinous sailors. Throw in a huge ocean of islands, sea monsters, whirlpools and pirate ships. Add in dungeon crawling, sword fighting, and rare tropical diseases and behold – a seafaring adventure of the grandest kind!

What in blazes is Ships and Scurvy?
Imagine you crossed Sid Meier's Pirates with Faster Than Light, threw in a dash of Ancient Art Of War and a hint of Zelda Windwaker and that’s what I am concocting. It’s a potent brew with many influences, but I believe it's a game unlike any other.

Ships and Scurvy is a big game! Not Skyrim big, but there are over 50 islands to discover, plunder and conquer. Each island has a choose your own adventure style scenario, a dungeon to explore and there’s nearly 200 resources you can find, buy and sell, from whiskey and wheat to watermelons and whale meat.

What's the game all about?
There’s a storyline that will span around 20 chapters, each with a villainous sea captain to seek revenge against. You can side with the evil pirate factions, or join forces with the Royal Navy.

There are a bunch of legendary sea monsters to track down and a number of giant island beasts to defeat. You can build and upgrade your ship, fight and parley with other ships. You can fish, hunt, mine. You can even catch scurvy!

Eww, scurvy is nasty!
It sure is! And that’s but one of a whole malaise of tropical diseases you and the crew can enjoy on your adventures! You’re going to have a lot of fun on this adventure, trust me. Every adventure is different, with many secrets to discover, special officers to hire, a ship to upgrade and a vast, sparkling blue ocean to explore.

I hope you'll join me on this journey and get the game up on Greenlight.

Grand adventures await, my friends!

Cheers, Oliver Joyce.
