Shadowcrypt is an arcade-style dungeon crawler with tactical sword & shield combat. Your goal is simple - to find the Necromancer and defeat his horde of undead warriors through a series of labyrinthine rooms. Inspired by the combat mechanics of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Shadowcrypt is a short but challenging game with old-school gameplay reminiscent of the 8-bit era. Quick reflexes, timing, and keen observation of enemies are essential to survive the deadly catacomb!
Brutal, but so satisfying! Atmosphere and combat work together to provide quite the white knuckle ride, despite the slow and deliberate pace (which works in the game's favor). Gives me a sense of ACTUAL peril, creating a lot of tension that you don't find in many games these days.
Reminds me of the old Zelda classics and the time, where I first played Zelda. Absolutely love the visuals and gameplay mechanics too! Looks like really fluent combat :)
