Mantling (BFE) file - Serious Sam Fusion 2017

You can also cancel mantling by clicking LMB (or any key binded to "Fire").

Also works when mantling onto moving/rotating objects. Mantling will be auto-cancelled if object moves too fast or rotates more than 45 degrees (only pitch and banking, heading can be anything).

Also works in multiplayer (both cooperative and versus) but there might be some small issues (list below). Disabled in versus by default (excluding Beast Hunt and Team Best Hunt). Can be enabled by host using a console command.

Note: this mod changes "Player_PromoPoses.ans" anim set. New "Mantle" animation was added there. You can change it to "Climb_To_Ledge" animation (used when climbing ladders) using a console command if the new one doesn't work.


Available console commands (values can be changed mid game):

globals.MantlingHelp() -- show all the available commands

globals.MantlingUseNewAnim(0 or 1) -- use new (1) or default (0) animation.
New animation is used by default.
Set to 0 if new animation doesn't work or if you want a slower animation.

globals.MantlingEnableInMP(0 or 1) -- enable (1) or disable (0) mantling in multiplayer.
Enabled by default.
If set to 1 will always work in PVE game modes as well as Beast Hunt and Team Best Hunt.

globals.MantlingEnableInVersus(0 or 1) -- enable (1) or disable (0) mantling in versus game modes (DM, CTF, ...).
Disabled by default.

globals.MantlingVersusList() -- show game modes that are considered versus for the command above.
List includes all the versus game modes except Beast Hunt and Team Beast Hunt.

globals.MantlingPrefs() -- show current values.


Multiplayer issues:
- animation looks a little bit worse in first person compared to single player (especially on clients). Weapon can sometimes be seen etc.
- player position for mantling animation may be a bit lower for clients (doesn't really affect gameplay but looks a little bit weird).
- clients won't take out their weapon after mantling (also sprinting and crouching won't work until weapon is selected). Can be fixed by pressing Q after mantling to select last weapon.

P.S. custom game titles haven't been tested with this mod so it might not work correctly there (not sure about Horsam specifically since if it uses custom animations mantling won't work there).

You can disable mantling on your map by setting worldGlobals.bMantlingEnabled to false. You can also enable/disable it on your map at any point even after disabling it. So if you want to enable it only for a certain part of the map, you can do it.
