Taming a pet Thread - Rogue's Tale

In the
description of the version 1.05 said "It is now possible to tame a dire
wolf, dread bat, giant rat, giant snail, snake, spider and whelp. These work in
a similar fashion as taming a dog but the required item is different in each
case". But how to tame dog? In the list of commands I not found the
command to give item a monster. I tried to throw the meat in a dog, but it only
angered her.:S

Was it raw meat, or fried meat?
Raw meat is for dogs and fried meat is for dire wolves...

wouldnt mind to know how to tame the other animals, tried bread, food and shrooms to snails, no effect, cant even imagine what spider eats =)

I wonder what kind of consumable could possibly make a snail go faster

Do pets level up as you do, as a rat in lvl 1 aint as tough as rat in lvl 10? I mean if you tame a pet, does it need kills to level itself or something like that?

I read elsewhere that pets match your level but do not level up as you do unless you train them. I'm wondering how you train them..
