We're thinking about adding a ready-made scaffolding (or at least single parts of it), which can be combined on a modular basis.
wow nice. i like how versatile the construction system is. but i have a question. is the game going to be a more modern time period or more of a medieval time period
The game will have both medieval and modern time elements :) But you'll be able to "limit" the age when creating a world (for example if you prefer a medieval-only world).
what do you plan to do in terms of combat. mount and blade style combat? or can you elaborate on that. and what about sieging? how much will physics affect combat, building, sieging/destroying buildings? btw thank you for the quick replies
Well, it will be a basic combat style. Most melee weapons have a primary and secondary attack. Currently only a sword and a battleaxe is in the game, but more will follow (e.g. bow and arrow, maces and ofc more different swords and battleaxes).
Apart from that, there will also be guns in the game, but only if your world isn't restricted to "medieval-time-only" ;)
Siege engines are also coming, among others: Canons, ballistae, perhaps battering rams etc. That type of combat is partly affected by physics (e.g. debris, projectiles).
But keep in mind, this is not really a war game ;) Warefare is an important aspect, but the main focus will be on building/exploration.
alright sounds exiting :D im a beginner jmonkey engine developer and know quite a bit of Java but i will be looking forward to future updates. always watching :)

Yeah, you're definitely not the only one ^^ We're also planning to introduce more medieval stuff in the future.
