Currently busy finishing the multiplayer part of the game. In the meantime, here's a small screenshot of our current progress (and yes, it might look like a step back).
I recently restarted the map editor from scratch to get rid of some really annoying user interface issues and generally provide a tighter integration with the game. In the process, the model and map formats changed, allowing for more freedom.
We also swapped JRuby for Mozilla's Rhino engine (JavaScript) to provide a cleaner interface to the game.
The weapon system has been greatly improved as well, allowing us to easily add throwable objects and all sorts of guns. Visible in the screenshot is the ability to lower your weapon, which is needed for sprinting or simply not pointing your gun at someone.
