Quake Remake is an experimental fan project of mixing the legendary Quake game by id Software with some of GoldSource Engine features by Valve on the base of Xash3D Engine. This project is trying to combine a classic Quake atmosphere with updating of some really outdated features. It also adds some cool gameplay posibilities, not available in original Quake.

Nice, but it is "port", not "remake".
It's a port not a remake..the only changes is this is running on a heavily modified Goldsource engine that powered the 1st Half-Life.
