--- IMPORTANT NOTE --- This project has not been abandoned! If you are still interested in this project, please check the massive progress I've been making at enckling.com. I usually will write a dev blog post every friday or saturday, so check back often! ---------------------- 'Project Errantry' is a 2D action role-playing game being developed in C# and MonoGame. The game itself takes bits of inspiration from 'Dark Souls', 'Skyrim' and minor influences from other games like 'Starbound'. The theme will be dark high-fantasy, with hints of Nordic and Celtic cultures. I have been actively working on the engine for almost two years now and plan to have the engine complete sometime in 2016. After the engine is finished and refined to the degree that I am satisfied with, I will use time making a map for the alpha testers to showcase most (if not all) of the game features.

1. (a) When will the engine be complete? (b) The prototype? (c) The final game?

(a) I am aiming for the engine to be near completion by the end of this year, if not into next year. (b) The prototype shouldn't take long, assuming there aren't any hiccups. A month or less after the engine is completed, most likely. (c) As for the final game, I can only speculate. Maybe in a few years? There is still much to do.

2. Will you release it as an alpha, beta, etc?

I'm definitely open to the idea of completing a region of the map, then releasing the game as alpha. I will wait and see how it goes before deciding!

3. What platforms and clients will this be available on?

All platforms that MonoGame supports are possibilities. For now, I will focus on PC, then shortly after Linux and MAC. Then I'll see about consoles & mobile devices.
As for gaming clients: Steam, GOG, and possibly HumbleBundle.
