Planetbase is a strategy game where you guide a group of space settlers trying to establish an outpost on a remote planet.
In the game you play the role of the base architect and manager, telling your colonists where to build the structures they will need to survive. You will have to ensure that they have a constant supply of oxygen, food and water to stay alive.
You will get them to collect energy, extract water, mine metal, grow food, manufacture bots, and build a fully self-sufficient base in a harsh environment, where you are always one step away from total failure.
Even if the game is not intended to be a simulator, all the mechanics are plausible, and based on what the expected challenges of establishing a colony in an new planet would be.
We are announcing our new title, Dawn of Man!
The game is a spiritual successor to our previous title Planetbase, but set in a period of time starting about 12,000 years ago, when the last glacial period ended and human populations started to grow.
You will begin controlling a small hunter-gatherer camp, then expand and evolve until the dawn of history. You will have to face the same challenges our ancestors did, thousands of years ago.
Features
Dawn of Man features mechanics that are somewhat inspired by Planetbase but with quite a few differences (we are coding the game from scratch).
Planetbase just passed certification for XboxOne. We are launching on May 3rd, with pre-orders from April 19th.
In this version we've added some new models, the ability to see completed achievements within the game and made some improvements to challenges.
Challenges are here! This version adds challenges to Planetbase: they are custom scenarios with set starting conditions and goals, the system can also...

very good, continue with this wonderful work
but, if by chance can make a mod with mechs?
thus mechs would be manned by guards, and while they were scouth in outlands, a percentage would go up gradually, and when it was 100%, would leave an iron box ...
just to get the game more interesting, and stay cool, put the intruders with battle mech too, it would be very cool
but like mechs with the Mechwarrior (Commando, Uller, Fireant, etc ...)
grateful for the attention, sorry for my english
XD
Great Game, hope it gets lots of new content soon :)
you guys should make it so people can mod the game, this would give the game much needed life...
updates in that direction would be great.
this game could use some real storylines/objectives outside of just survival.
- some coop at the least.
- maybe some multiplayer (make alliances or just all out war)
- add conditions and effects to certain planets that make them harder to survive on, say limited time outside because of continual dust storms/ can only be out during the day or night cycles for that planet.
- more build options, say creating underground facilities...
- improvements to the AI for the game to get the people to work on shifts, to actually work instead of standing around with their proverbial thumbs up their backsides.
- improve pathing for the AI
- make dual airlocks (in and out only sections)
- upgrade citizens to increase efficiency and automation.
- more specialized and general bots
Proudly playing Planetbase with the latest patch
The only thing i can wish would be more content for it
Max vote , see you
Great job, keep on going - adding new content and so on.
I have this game and so far it is the best I have ever played. thanks developers for this. and good luck for the future. :P
Very interesting, just came across this today. The game foundations and intent seem like they came right out of a game design I've been working on documenting of taking Banished and putting it in space with various planet types. Not that I would ever get it built, so glad someone did although I don't know if the emphasis on the up-close 3d visuals were a good call versus more depth in game play.
Great Game
congrats on an extremely successful release
blitskriegsler got to play this check out his channel its awsome
